Shag or Die?

Hello! *waves*

I've had a few glasses of wine (maybe a couple too many) while writing crack!fiction, and it crossed my mind to wonder if anyone has ever written any Pros "Shag or Die" stories.

Specifically, where Bodie has to shag Doyle or vice versa in order to avoid a fatal case of death.

I would be eternally grateful for any help.

Well...don't know if by this you mean they'll be killed if they don't shag, but there are a few stories like that. One is "Catives" by Lois Welling: http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/archive/0/captives.html

There are also one where Bodie is...undercover in a motorcycle gang, I think, and when the gang captures Doyle, Bodie is forced to rape him to maintain credibility. Um. I think. (I know, I'm being useless.) It's on the Proslib CD, though.

Talk about a brain fart *g* I was thinking medically if they don't shag one or the other would die and totally forgot about the whole scenario of someone else would kill them if they don't shag because they were undercover or taken captive....of course I have read those stories *d'oh*

Yep, by "Shag or Die" -- sorry a term from crack!fic -- I do mean they will be killed if they don't shag.

As I haven't seen much crack!fic at all in Pros land, I wasn't sure whether some of the ideas had infiltrated here anyway.

just to clarify they have been kidnapped & Bodie injected wth a drug that will kill him if he doesn't shag & it is up to Doyle to be shagee so I think it qualifies *g*

That's it--Rough Ride--and it is rape or die. And I still an't think of the title of yet another one where they go into a mercenary band in Africa undercover (but Bodie is known to them), and the leader wants Doyle (who wouldn't? *g*), and Bodie claims him and has to prove that they are in fact lovers--the leader comes in to check on them that night. This is a really well-known story. And I am totally blanking on the title. There's a doctor who helps them escape... Anyone??

When I think of "shag or die" I always tend to assume that it is more consensual than the word "rape" implies.

Rape isn't a concrete squick for me, the way incest is, but I tend to approach it with a high degree of wariness. I've seen one too many stories where someone gets raped and they like it or it's written for titillation purposes... Ack!

I often get a less "sensitized" friend to peek behind the cut for me and tell me how the land lies.

I write more in the PWP/comic smut end of things, but I like to read H/C and angst too.

There is also "Long Shadows" by NN West (just read it on the circuit archive).
Bodie has to convince the leader of a mercenary band who knows him from working together before,
that Doyle is his lover. He comes in and checks on them during the night.
A doctor friend helping them is also involved, since Doyle was hurt at the beginning of the story.

BTW, is Rough Ride available online anywhere?
