Not a Death Fic ...

I'm looking for a story where Cowley and Doyle are ambushed and Doyle is badly wounded. Doyle asks if Cowley would end his suffering due to his injuries. Cowley has to make a decision as to whether to use his gun to end Doyle's life. I think the story may have been written from Cowley's POV.

Definitely not a death fic, so it's not the following:
