You all are just so good at this! This is what I'm looking for. The story has Ray strung out on drugs (I don't remember where Bodie is). Ray gets help from a homeless woman who remembers him from his time on the Met. The scene I recall is the woman taking Ray to a young man's place for clothes/food. The young man tries to get Ray to take some drugs. Ray fights it. There's a chase through the streets Doyle running and Coogan(?) chasing him in a car. Sound familiar to anyone? Sometimes I think I imaging these things! *g*
