Please help me find this story!
Dec. 19th, 2012 12:02 pmI've read it several times and should know the title/author, but even after searching my computer and wracking my brain, I can't find it.
It's a long "classic", starting with Bodie and Doyle separated. They were in a relationship, and Bodie felt Doyle was making all the moves, not giving him a chance.
Bodie leaves CI5, and Doyle is devasted, gets himself shot and invalided out, staying with an old friend in the country.
Cowley visits and manages to talk Doyle into coming back to find a mole in CI5, but mainly Doyle comes back for a chance to see Bodie again.
Bodie pretends he is married and has a baby, to get back at Doyle, when Doyle talks to him about the "mole" job.
There is a lot more, but I'm hoping someone will recognize the story and put me out of my misery. ;)

Date: 2012-12-19 08:48 pm (UTC)I felt an urge to read it last night, and then could *not* remember the title or author. I wish I were better at that, but there are always friends here, to help. :)
