An old entry of mine was spammed with a long gibberish rambling speech from I don't know who. I want to see it removed but cannot do it myself. So, could one of the admin intervene?

I also have a question related to a new search: As everyone must know now, I'm trying to collect all the Bodie/Cowley stories that have been published and the last one still missing is "Cracking the Code" by Jane Carnall. I can only mention the title. I don't know if it's a long story, a short story, or just a smallish ficlet, but I'd like to add it to my files anyway. Can anyone spot it? thanks for trying.

You might try contacting the author? You may have already tried, but just in case.

She hasn't updated her InsaneJournal in three years, but it's here: http://janecarnall.insanejournal.com/profile

And her website http://hjc.akicif.net/ (also not updated for several years) has an email address that might work.

You might try getting in touch with Gryphon Press (http://www.palelyloitering.com/sources/GryphonPress.html) - she also runs the UK paper circuit, which is still active, and so she might have a copy somewhere?

Or try asking at [livejournal.com profile] loiteringpalely?

Glad you found the delete button for the spam (I presume it was spam, not just someone you didn't like to hear from!). You can also Report a suspected spambot here (http://www.livejournal.com/abuse/bots.bml), and you should have been able to mark the comment as spam too. Both those things will mean that the bogus lj-user is banned/deleted altogether, and won't bother anyone else either.
