Need help finding a story

I don't remember the title or the author -- although I'm thinking it was someone who didn't write a lot? -- there's a scene toward the end when Doyle has to dig Bodie out of a snowbank. And in the final scene I think they're in an emergency room somewhere talking. 

Does this sound familiar to anyone?
