I'm looking for a fairly long Bodie/ Doyle story I read online relatively recently-- within the last two years. I think it was in an archive (not LJ, AO3 or the Yahoo group file) but I'm not sure. Bodie and Doyle had a very casual sex type relationship that Bodie refused to discuss/ acknowledge and when Doyle pushed for more he blew up-- I think maybe there was a dub-con scene? Doyle left CI5 and Bodie stayed-- eventually it was revealed that Bodie had been molested as a child by his father. I think somehow they got back together and it ended happily.
Thanks!
ETA: Found by natsuko1978-- it is "Heat-Trace" by Helen Raven. Thanks everyone!

Date: 2014-12-30 06:14 pm (UTC)But 'Doyle left and Bodie stayed - eventually it was revealed - ' is not Wonderful Tonight. (Is it? Well, Doyle didn't leave, definitely.) Oh dear!
I don't know why, but it is my impression that most stories that involve one of them as the victim of abuse tend to do that to Doyle. There is at least one by Angelfish which involves Bodie - there's a line about Bodie thinking 'if I hadn't been sized up like meat on the hoof, I could walk around with not a stitch on', or something like that.
Um. Not sure this is helping! (Except that I shall go and look for the Angelfish one and see.)

They weren't both in CI5, in that, though - Doyle was still in the Met and only Bodie was in CI5, although in the fic this was written as a sequel to, Doyle did join CI5 at the end.
TW: they both have significant psychological breakdowns and there is Major Depressive illness as well as the child abuse potential trigger
