help with this one please
Apr. 24th, 2017 06:43 pmHi there everyone
I'm here to pick your brains. Does anyone recognise this story which I read a very long time ago and just can't find again?
Doyle has been kidnapped and the nasty man has forced him to stand, precariously balanced on a chair, positioned on top of a table, with his hands tied behind his back and a tight noose looped around his neck. If he tires, loses concentration or overbalances then he will hang himself.
In the meantime, Bodie is frantically looking for him and his search takes him to a warehouse where he has to defeat the baddie before he can save Doyle. Injuries abound and I remember Bodie trying to descend the cellar steps leaving a trail of blood behind him.
Does it sound familiar?
ETA Found! Dead Bluff by Linda S Maclaren & Gina Martin. Many thanks.

Date: 2017-04-25 06:09 am (UTC)It's in my pc, don't know where from, and each time I want to read it I remember this part but no more..it's frutrating, because these scenes are so vivid in my mind, that I forget at all the first 2/3 of the story.
So, now, I know it. And now you too.Enjoy it

Date: 2017-04-25 11:50 am (UTC)Ayee! I knew I'd read it at some point!
I've got a dead link to it leading back to Mackie's web page - possibly with a bit of Googling and twiddling on the Wayback Machine you could get to it?
