Trying to help a non-LJ friend...

Hi!

I have a friend who is trying to locate a particular story. It doesn't ring any bells for me, but then I've only scratched the surface of the archives so far.

Here's what she can remember:

It is set just after the Ann Holly break up... she thinks. Doyle has lost all of his self-confidence and Bodie is trying to make him feel good about himself again. Apparently she's managed to give Doyle "issues" about having a hairy chest and being "un-cut."

I don't have a clue... I hope you can help her find it.

I think I know that story... That is "I won't send roses." by Jane, isn't it?

I would guess that it has to be that story. I can't imagine another one having the same plot and she *did* say something about it referencing a song.

Yes, it is "I Won't Send Roses" by Jane on The Circuit Archive-looking at a printed out copy of it right now. Your friend also might enjoy Jane's "Mystery Trip", which mentions the Ann Holly affair from Bodie's p.o.v. It's also on The Circuit Archive, which has the most extensive collection of Jane's work now available on the web. Jane's written many enjoyable "one-offs" and series, and you can find a nice selection of them there. :)

Thank you so much for the help. As stated, I didn't have a clue but I was pretty sure someone on here would know what it was so I said I'd ask.
