I've been reading Action of the Tiger by EPS from the ProsLib CD while I'm banished in non-internet land (*hugs library hotspot*) but I came across what seems to be a big jump/slab of missing text in my copy, and I was wondering if anyone can fill in the gaps? I'm not sure if it's on all the CDs, or if mine's just been corrupted somehow, but this is what I've got:
"Didn't think you had it in you, Fenlow," McGeary chortled, thumping Doyle's shoulder. "Get out the Aowley's office, planted himself in front of the Controller's desk, and snarled, "I want to talk to you, Cowley."
The stare from across the desk was scorching. "It is customary to knock, Bodie, and I doubt if your business is so urgent that it..."
It looks to me as if McGeary is saying "Get out the [something-beginning with A]" and then it jumps to a scene where Bodie's slammed his way up to Cowley's office - but I've no idea how much of either scene is missing!
Can anyone help?! Or is it on all disks, and our ProsLibrarians need a heads-up? *waves to them*
Also - it seems as though Action of the Tiger is a sequel to something - does anyone know what?!

Date: 2008-09-11 11:10 am (UTC)I thought the easiest thing might be to do a Find on "chortled" since it's an unusual word - it seems to get there straight away for me - does that help? It's maybe three-quarters of the way through... or if your copy is also corrupted, then Cntl+F "Aowley" would probably work too... *g*
Thanks! *g*
ETA - having just properly read what you meant by "Circuit copy"... *headdesk* Erm... best I can say is about 3/4 of the way through though, I think - sorry! Do you have a ProsLib version as well?

Bodie didn't even hear Betty's protests as he barged into Cowley's office, planted himself in front of the Controller's desk, and snarled, "I want to talk to you, Cowley."
