searching for a story

Hi,I hope you can help me.

I'm looking for a story that I read a while a go. I don't really remember much. Bodie and Doyle meet for the first time at some sort of survival training, and they are partnered together. They don't get along well in the beginning. I only remember one incident where they are climbing somewhere and then one of them, Doyle I think, makes a mistake that causes the other one to fall down in a river. Then the other one jumps after him and saves him.

That is all I can remember. But I really liked the story and would love to read it again.
