My rope-bridge must be a bit frayed

Help? I should know this, but it's eluding me. I have this feeling it's by jgraeme, I have this feeling it's a Big Bang story - and I still can't find it.

It's a long story, starting with B&D meeting on training Doyle is new, Bodie is on probation and might get thrown out for excessive violence (!). They partner on an assault course exercise; D thinks they're connecting when B steadies the rope-bridge for him, but B thinks he's an idiot for slowing them down to help someone else. There's another scene where they fall into an icy river at dusk, Doyle's fault, and D gets a half-drowned B out and resuscitates him.
