Hello! Delurking with a plea for help.

I'm trying to find a story and it's been driving me nuts. It's slash, Bodie/Doyle, but I don't remember much. I know an old merc friend of Bodie's shows up, I think someone Bodie trained himself. Anyway, they get involved in a case, and Ray gets hurt. Bodies says to the merc to take care of Ray while he goes for help or something, but the guy misunderstands and thinks he's supposed to kill Ray, a law of the jungle kind of thing.
 
Anyway, Ray gets away from him and hides, and Bodies eventually finds him and explains the whole thing. Ring any bells?
