melty brain
Oct. 25th, 2007 11:46 amHi!
My name’s Snail, and I’ve recently become a Pros addict.
::waves and blushes::
Right, now the embarrassing bit…
I’m an idiot; I’ve gone and lost a story, and the only thing I remember about it is Bodie recalling Macklin telling him, “A good big ‘un will beat a good little ‘un every time”, and Bodie thinking something like, “Yeah, but I’ve got to catch the little bugger first.”
What is that? Help!
I only read fic online, so that sort of narrows it down a bit… ok, not a lot. Any clues anyone? Pretty please ::grovels and gets out the cookies::

ETA: Found! It was On Stand By by Georgina Kirrin, found for me by
mungo_jerrie. Thank you so much - I can pop my brain back in the bucket by the door now.

Found your "good big 'un" :)
Date: 2007-10-26 05:40 am (UTC)"On Stand-by", and its companion piece, "Watching His Mouth" are available at The Circuit Archive (www.thecircuitarchive.com) or click on the link available at upper right. You might also want to try ordering the cd available from proslib at Yahoo (link upper right) because both stories are on it; it's a veritable cornucopia of stories and a good intro to Pros fiction. :)

Date: 2007-10-26 07:42 pm (UTC)Thank goodness I asked, 'cos I would never have found that in a million years, unless I started at one end of the archive and worked my way through (hmmmm not such a hardship *g*).
I'm thinking of treating myself to the cd sometime soon (thanks for the info) - I was hoping my addiction would be short-lived, but I'm now resigned to my fate and prepared to consume all the fic I can lay my greedy little paws on. *hg*
