Last time I was looking for a story which seems to have been a mere figment of my imagination (but thanks a lot for the suggestion of several excellent other works with more or less similar features). Now I'm looking for a story which, I am very certain, does exist since I had saved it on my hard drive before it crashed (but not read yet).

In this fic the main character (or at least the character on which the plot was focused) was Tommy, from "Heroes" and in it Tommy wasn't killed at the end. The author managed to save his life without changing the episode's events (or so I guess for, as I said above, I haven't read the story, only excerpts). I was thinking of it last year when I briefly envisaged to propose a challenge on the theme : "Rescuing CI5 'believed-to-be-killed' agents".

It's not a recent work, it may have been published 3 to 5 years ago. I can't tell whether it was slash or gen.
Any idea?

"Rescuing CI5 'believed-to-be-killed' agents".

That sounds like a great challenge!

If there's a CI5 heaven... it's full of agents we'd like to see more of.

I don't know the story off hand, but it sounds as if it might be by Bistokidsfan (Hisluvpet) - you could try her website (listed at palelyloitering - sorry, I'm dashing and can't get link for oyu right now!)? She was a big Tommy fan, and I think wrote several stories where he'd never been killed.

Maybe we could revive the idea of the "revival" challenge for a next time?
Could be fun - I shall add it to the list! *g*
