Doyle as a cat burglar - part 2

Sorry to be a pest - but I think there may be another story - Doyle is the cat burglar. He and Bodie don't know each other, but Bodie wants to hire him. I think it is a police officer who knows Doyle that puts Bodie in touch with Doyle and Doyle is reluctant to work for him. There may be some coercion by the police officer - does that sound at all familiar to anyone? [Sometimes I think I dream up some of the plots I almost remember!! :-) ]

I don't know the Title nor the Author, but I'm sure it is based on The Sentinel. Doyle is the Guide, I think, or vice versa and the policeman is the one from Backtrack. Haven't read replies to your earlier post, so might be on the wrong track here. *bg*
