Recs: Virgin Doyle

I'm in the mood to read virgin-Doyle stories where he was nervous with his first m/m sex and Bodie was so sweet and gentle about it.

Doyle being nervous and Bodie having to be gentle sounds like the sort of characterisation you get in Jane stories, so a rummage through the Jane folder on the Circuit Archive may be worth a go.

All I can think of right now is Firestarter (http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/archive/14/firestarter.html), by Caro Dee. and it's not nervous-Doyle, more rather-startled Doyle. But it's lovely. And hot!

I'm reading Maddalia's fic. I sure would look up Jane's fics. Do you happen to know why TCA has no recent fics in years?

Auww..Firestarter is hot but not really what I have in mind. Girl, who wouldn't want to be cuddled up like that yea?

It's not! I would have said there's far more which are that way around than vice-versa. I just can't think of them! It's not my favourite theme, which is perhaps why I'm having trouble thinking of them. I read them, but I don't tend to re-read them. That's why I am fairly confident that Jane will have some, but I don't know the names of them. But I shall ponder - and if I come across any in the next few weeks, I shall add them here.

I can understand that. I would have trouble reccing stories which I only read once too.
I suddenly have a craving to read that kind of sweet and lite stories :D and now I' m making trouble for people. Finding missing fics is always easier than searching for recs, right.
Jane has lots of stories. She'll keep me busy rereading her stories :)

Thank you for taking time to get me the link. I can't say that I could follow all the talk about permission, interface and some techical stuff. So I thank you for listing the important point at the last part of the conversation.
So am I correct to say that the only way I can read new never-published-online circuit archive stories today is at Proslib?

Hello! Just popping into a really old thread here.

Proslib (the mailing list) certainly does email out old stories that are new to the net; but you can also keep an eye on Archive Of Our Own for stories posted with the Pros tag. In among the flood of new fic, old zine-only fiction does pop up regularly, Aerye's The Rules of Engagement is one, and Elizabeth Holden has just put nearly a dozen stories up which were first published in zines.

There is an LJ 'feed' you can subscribe to which will let you know when they are posted: ao3_pros_feedlj and there's a similar one on DW. Hope it's of use!

Thank you for the help! This is news to me! I rarely check prosfic at ao3. I can't wait to read all the zine fics! Woohoo!
